Connect your Instagram — once
InstaFeed shows feeds by username. Instagram's rules require the account's owner to allow it once — a single click, right here. After that, your username works in any widget, on any website, forever. No signup, no passwords stored, no tokens to copy, nothing to renew.
Requirement: your Instagram account must be a professional account (Business or Creator — free). In the Instagram app: Settings → Account type and tools → Switch to professional account. This is Instagram's rule for API access, not ours.
What exactly are you allowing?
- Read-only access to your profile basics (username, photo, counts) and your published posts. Nothing else.
- InstaFeed cannot post, comment, message, follow, or change anything on your account.
- We store no password and no personal data — only the technical read permission, which we auto-renew so your widgets never break.
- You can revoke access anytime in Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites. Your widgets stop working; connect again to resume.
Troubleshooting
- Login says my account can't be used — your account is still Personal. Switch to professional (blue box above), then connect again.
- My widget says the account isn't connected — the owner hasn't clicked Connect yet, or access was revoked. One click above fixes it.
- Feed loads but no follower count — some accounts can't share extended profile fields; the widget simply hides what Instagram doesn't provide.
