A professional account (Business or Creator) — switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app under Settings → Account type. Personal accounts can't issue API tokens since Instagram retired the old Basic Display API.
No. There are no accounts and no tokens on your side. You type your Instagram username; the first time, Instagram asks the account owner to click Allow once. All credentials live on our server and renew themselves — your embed code is just your username and never expires.
Read-only access to your public profile basics and published posts — nothing else. It cannot post, comment, message, or change anything, and you can revoke it anytime in Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites.
